Meet Josh Stein
FOUNDER / PERSONAL TRAINER
I’m Josh Stein and I’m the Founder and owner of JS Fitness and Wellness. I’m BEYOND passionate about what I do. My clients, whether present or former, can testify to that.
From a very young age, I was always in and out of hospitals due to my chronic asthma and allergies. I would get very sick often and would tend to miss a lot of school. I couldn’t participate in a lot of things that involved cardiovascular fitness, and as a result, it certainly affected my self-esteem.
For 2 years, I was working as the Lead Trainer at a Big-box gym. While I was there, I had the opportunity to grow as a trainer, work with amazing clients, learn from amazing coworkers. Everything was great until Coronavirus struck the world. At that time, my gym closed and my future was very uncertain. For a while, I wasn’t doing anything. After a few months of lockdown, a few clients reached out to me, and we decided to conduct virtual sessions. A few months later, those sessions turned into sessions at parks.
Slowly but surely, our team got bigger, and we were having a ton of fun with our workouts, all while being safe and practicing social distancing. With the pickup from training outside, I decided to open my own studio in Collingswood! We opened here in October 2020, and we took about a month to get everything ready. Since we have opened, we have helped hundreds of clients with their fitness goals.
If you are someone who is struggling with your own happiness, here is my advice - take a look at your health! Try to move more, and put better foods in your body. If you need help with that, it would be our pleasure to help you! One of my biggest ‘Why’s’ for me becoming a Personal Trainer is Mental Health. Health and Fitness have changed my entire mental health, and as a result, I am forever grateful. It is my pleasure to help people through fitness, and oftentimes, seeing it affect their mental health as well!
